Waves of Life..

Its my bdday today and like every year i am very excited about my bdday even this year. But things are not the same anymore.. i have never had such a quiet, normal bdday. It has always been special and eventful, with my friends giving me one surprise after the other and near and dear ones calling up to wish. I always look forward to this day because i get to talk to all the people who are close to me.
But today is different. Many of my good friends forgot to call. Initially I thought it was apart of some plan.. some surprise.. but i was wrong. They actually forgot my bdday. :(
Most of my friends are married and are busy striking a balance between personal and professinal life. Things are not the same anymore. I
guess this change is inevitable.

Today, I have understood that - one thing thats constant in life is 'change' and life definetely means 'to move on' ..

The power of Love..

Being an ardent HP fan, I had to come up with this short overview of the whole HP series. However, I don't intend to discuss the book or its characters here. What I am interested in is the central thought, one thought that has caught my interest ever since I started reading the book.

It is something about love.. pure, selfless love. This has been the highlight of the harry potter
stories all along.. Its amazing how J K Rowling has stressed the importance of Love in her books. I never thought a foreign author could emote so beautifully. The bond between a mother and her child, that between a teacher and his student and most importantly the one among friends!!
Its simply amazing how Ron and Hermoine stood by their friend Harry.. knowing very well that this could cost them their life. I think it's their innocent love that helped them overpower Voldemort. One could not have brought out the importance and power of Love as well as J K has. Amazing!
As I ponder.. I realize how Dumbledore always stressed on the power of love. Afterall it saved Harry's life and also left him a protective shield which was more powerful than any
of Voldemorts evil charms. Nothing could beat the magical powers of Love.
At the end it was victory of Love over evil and I think this is really the moral of the book. This is the essence of it. It was Harry's selfless nature that brought him the victory over Voldemort.
Something that even Dumbledore failed to do. All Harry yearned for was Love .. love of his parents his loved ones.. And he stood for them all along at the cost of his own life.
Not to forget how Snape loved Lily all his life. This has by far
been the most touching part for me. What a sacrifice it has been on his part!

All in all, I loved the way J K ROwling ended this great series. It
could not have been better. Kudos to J K Rowling and her imagination!! OUTSTANDING!!

PS : This is an outcome of the sleepless night that I spent reading the last part of Harry Potter!!
